Is a personal plan with Healthy Discounts the same as traditional insurance?


Our personal plans are membership-based programmes – also known as discount plans – created to provide you with savings on dental care and more. The personal plans are not insurance, but they can be used on their own, or they can complement current insurance offerings. Additionally, with a Healthy Discounts plan, there are no waiting periods, no limits on use and no claim forms or paperwork for you to file.


Can I use my Healthy Discounts membership when I travel away from home?


Your membership can be used at any participating practitioner – a great bonus if you're going on holiday to the US. In fact, we have nationwide practitioners located in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.


Which practitioners may I visit?


You can find participating practitioners by calling 0808 234 3558, between 0800 and 2400, Monday to Friday. Or you can choose a plan to find a practitioner in your area.


How often can I use my Healthy Discounts plan?


You can use your personal plan as often as you choose. Simply present your member ID card at the time of service to receive your discounts.


Once I select a practitioner, am I assigned to that practitioner?


You may select any practitioner from the network. You can change practitioners at any time, and household members can select their own practitioner, as well.
